Eunicia – Fountain House
Fountain House is dedicated to the recovery of men and women with mental illness by providing opportunities for their members to live, work, and learn, while contributing their talents through a community of mutual support. With their 2012 grant funds, they established a Sidney R. Baer Scholarship to ensure that their members have access to the resources and programs they need to exceed educationally.
Here are words from a 2013 Sidney R. Baer Scholarship recipient named Eunicia who is in the Fountain House Employment unit and became a Fountain House member in May 2011. She is currently a student at Kindsborough Community College. She is studying community health, health administration. Her scholarship was used to get a computer monitor, as her laptop notebook has print that is too small to read:
“I am working very hard to get my associates degree. I love studying and going to school. The environment of the college community has been very relaxing and not stressful. I feel like a well rounded person and I work really hard to get food grades.” – Eybucua
